Patented Sensor Technology

With an innovative design architecture that includes two light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and two photo diodes, EQUANOX sensors utilize three-wavelength technology for reduced volume sensitivity. Dual emitter sites eliminate the challenges of surface variability by having the LEDs illuminate alternately at 730nm, 810nm and 880nm wavelengths for enhanced accuracy.

In the Model 7600, this results in a cerebral cortex measurement that is unaffected by intervening tissue or surface effects. Coupled with EQUANOX’s near-instantaneous signal acquisition, this level of measurement accuracy results in an enhanced functionality.
